We’d like to express our appreciation for Teacher Natt’s kindness. From the page Khon Jai Ma – Natt Hamon (Dog Behavior Specialist), she is one of Thailand’s Therapy Dog Team, Cohort 1 — our #TeamKruNattAndTiny. This time, #TeamKruNattAndSimba is working as a Rescue Dog team — another type of service dog team that is also trained together with the owner, but with very different training goals and working conditions.
Therapy Dogs are trained to support people who are sick or in recovery. Because of that, the dogs are kept clean and friendly, and their training focuses on helping patients improve their physical and emotional well-being.
Rescue Dogs, like Kru Natt and Simba, are trained to help in emergencies — supporting rescue workers and searching for people in difficult situations. After training and deployments, they often end up dirty and exhausted, because every team works with full dedication and love, doing everything they can to help as many people as possible.
What’s the same in both kinds of work is Kru Natt’s heart — her commitment to giving, and her willingness to put in the time and effort to train both dogs so they can serve society.
Thank you for your kindness and for being part of Thailand’s Therapy Dog Team with us. And congratulations to Simba, the rescue dog — a dog who was once abandoned, but now has an owner who sees his value. Today, he has become a true dog for society.
